About Myself

My Practice

After years of training in numerous modalities, I‘ve learned to share my experience through a combination of service and education. I’m a passionate healer with an alternative approach, and I’m dedicated to helping my clients move through a wide range of physical, emotional, and spiritual transitions in the most efficient and transformative way

I've been practicing Chinese Medicine for over 20 years, nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology (NCCAOM), and board certified by the California Acupuncture Board. I received a B.A. and M.A. in Asian Civilizations from the University of Iowa, and an M.S. degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1996 from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco. During the months studying for Acupuncture boards in 1996, I discovered the practice of Breema, and has been a devoted practitioner and instructor from that time on.

In addition to maintaining a private practice since 1997, I joined the Petaluma Community Acupuncture clinic in 2014, and in the three years at PCA I became committed to this style of practice, providing care in a comfortable group setting at accessible rates to serve a broader community. I continued practicing Community Acupuncture during her 2 years in Minnesota at the Bhakti Clinic and Northeast Wellness, in 2017 and 2018.

Most recently, I've become interested in Functional Medicine and have completed a yearlong course with the Kresser Institute for Functional and Evolutionary Medicine. I now include consultations in my practice, offering an integrative approach that combines the best of East and West.

I am dedicated to supporting people to reach their optimal health and vitality. I see each modality that I practice—Acupuncture, Acutonics, Breema, and NET—as a means of tapping into the inherent wisdom of the body, pointing the way to a deeper level of balance and harmony. I am experienced in treating a wide range of issues, including digestive complaints, hormonal imbalance, anxiety, depression and addiction, as well as chronic and acute pain or injury.

Other interests

My interest in Asian culture began three decades ago with the practice of Aikido, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, deepened as I studied Mandarin and lived in China for two years, and found expression in the practice of Chinese medicine and Japanese taiko and dance. Outside of the clinic, I devote my

self to instructing Breema bodywork, dancing, drumming, and learning new things.
